CBD Products FAQ

What is CBD?

CBD is the medical abbreviation for cannabidiol. Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of 100+ phytocannabinoids present in the cannabis plant. CBD is a non-psychoactive compound, meaning, it won’t get users “high” or have users feeling “stoned”.

CBD began being researched in the early 1970s and has continued to soak the scientific, medical, and sports research worlds ever since. CBD has been shown to help with a wide array of concerns, such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Seizures
  • Epilepsy
  • Sleep
  • Pain
  • Mood
  • Inflammation

Unlike the other well-known cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD doesn’t produce mind-altering effects. CBD has even been described as having a “good safety profile”, according to the World Health Organization (WHO)

CBD for athletes is also being researched for the beautiful calming and well-being benefits that CBD may provide.

What are the benefits of CBD products?

The benefits of CBD products may aid, assist, and help a wide range of concerns. For instance, research is showing promise for CBD helping with:

  • Well-being
  • Calmness
  • Mood
  • Heart Health
  • Inflammation
  • Pain
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Seizures
  • Immunity
  • Weight loss management
  • Insomnia
  • Muscle recovery

Though CBD is not yet FDA approved, researchers are quick on to jump onto this magical herb and further explore its potential therapeutic benefits.

Whether you’re looking to use a topical CBD, like CBD Lotions, or simply wanting to try CBD Pills or CBD Powders, CBD may provide therapeutic benefit to you in more ways than one.

Does CBD have side effects?

CBD has been suggested as having a generally good safety profile, with little to no side effects. In January 2020, the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) described cannabidiol (CBD) as a non-toxic, non-addictive, and well-tolerated compound with potential benefits.

Since CBD does not produce mind-altering effects, you should not have much worry about feeling “high”.

However, there are some minor potential side effects that may occur from CBD products, including:

  • Fatigue
  • Extreme sleepiness
  • Diarrhea
  • Decreased appetite
  • Lethargy
  • Vomiting

Can you buy CBD products online?

You can buy CBD products online. And honestly, most users prefer it simply for the convenience of browsing on your own time as well as the quick delivery to your door, free of judgement and worry!

When users buy CBD online, they are able to research information about the products as well as have 24/7 access to the internet, picking the option that’s right for them, anytime, anyday.

A simple internet search for CBD products and CBD infused products will have your screen pinging with hundreds of thousands of results, instantly. Happy hunting!

How do you buy CBD products online?

There are a couple steps for how you buy CBD products online. First, I highly recommend internet searching the brand you’re interested in (or what type of CBD product you’re interested in for that matter). By browsing through CBD websites and comparing CBD products and prices, you’ll start to get a better feel for what you’re looking for.

Also, it’s important to check the CBD product label and laboratory tests associated with the product. These will give you an idea of not only what’s in your CBD product, but what concentrates and levels of other ingredients are in them too.

Depending on the CBD company and CBD products, websites may ask you if you are 21 or over, prior to entering their website. CBD has no federal legal age limits, but certain states may have age regulations.

How long does it take to ship CBD products?

When you order CBD products from Nanocraft, you will be sent a confirmation email with details of your order included. As soon as your packaging has been shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information for you.

We do have a 24 - 48 hour processing time and in times of higher traffic, a 2 - 3 days processing time. We use priority shipping, usually taking between 1 - 3 days (after processing time) to arrive at your door.

Your CBD products will arrive in a discreet box, with recycled paper packaging holding your items in place.

How do you determine the quality of CBD products?

You can determine the quality of CBD products by asking these important questions:

  • Does the company use organic, all natural hemp?
  • Are the products full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or isolate?
  • Are there certificates of analysis available for each and every product?
  • Does the company use third-party laboratory testing?
  • What concentrates of CBD are in each product?

Here, at Nanocraft CBD, we grow our phytocannabinoid-rich hemp in nutrient-rich soil right here in the USA, in Colorado. We use state-of-the-art farming processing to enhance the quality of our natural proprietary stains, ensuring that our products are safe, regulated, and unsurpassed in regards to their potency and consistency.

We offer CBD products online that are broad-spectrum CBD, meaning, there is little to no THC in them. We provide certificates of analysis for each and every batch of CBD products we craft. In addition, we do third-party lab testing to assess our products, that meet only the highest standards for quality control.

Is CBD legal?

CBD is federally legal if it does not contain more than 0.3% THC in the product. If the CBD is hemp derived, it is considered legal (thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill!).

Certain states have legalized medical and recreational use of marijuana in the US, but federally, marijuana is still illegal. Even so, explore your local state regulations for CBD legality.

Will CBD products make you fail a drug test?

It is entirely possible that CBD products may make you fail a drug test, but it’s not exactly a “yes” or “no” answer.

Most drug tests are assessing levels of THC or other substances, not necessarily CBD. If the CBD products are hemp derived, containing 0.3% THC or less, you may “be in the clear” when it comes to drug testing. However, that goes without saying, drug screenings may test for a wider array of substances, including CBD and THC, so it may be better to be safe than sorry here.

Does CBD get you high?

CBD does not get you high. Cannabidiol is the non-psychoactive cannabinoid of the cannabis plant, meaning it doesn’t produce mind-altering effects or feelings of euphoria.

CBD binds indirectly with the cannabinoid receptors in the endocannabinoid system, thus, it doesn’t provide users with a high, necessarily.

How much CBD should you take?

How much CBD you should take depends on your size, body weight, administration method, your metabolism, frequency of use, and dosage.

If you are new to CBD, it may be best to start “low and slow”. If you’re taking CBD Oil, for instance, you may want to start with a half full dropper (0.5 mL) of oil. You can gauge whether or not you need to increase or decrease your dosage next time you’re ready for your CBD oil.

On the other hand, if you’re interested in CBD for Athletes, CBD waters and CBD powders may be a great add on to your workout routine. Each of our CBD Waters contains 10 mg of broad-spectrum CBD that you can sip on at your own pace.

One scoop of our CBD Powders may contain up to 20 mg of high potency broad-spectrum CBD per serving. And of course, you can add more or less to your scooper for your desired amount.

If you’re wanting to apply a CBD Lotion to an affected area, a swipe or two may help relax that specific area.

We highly recommend talking with your physician prior to starting any CBD products as our products are not intended to treat, cure, prevent, or diagnose any ailment, condition, disease, or disorder.

How long does CBD take to work?

It’s been suggested that it can take anywhere from 30 minutes - 4 hours for CBD to work. Again, this depends on your body size, metabolism, frequency of usage, and dosage amount.

If you’re taking CBD daily, it may take longer for you to feel the effects, especially if you are continuously using the same dosage each time.

If you’re just beginning with a CBD routine, you may feel the effects within hours or it may take a couple days for you to reap the benefits.

Since CBD is not yet FDA regulated or approved, more research, in regards to cannabidiol metabolism and bodily effects, needs to be done.

Can you overdose on CBD?

As it has been discussed in the research, I want to say “no”. Much of the literature has described CBD as generally safe, non-toxic, and addictive, with little to no side effects.

If you do take a large dose of CBD, users may feel extremely tired, lethargic, and potentially sleepy.

However, every user may respond differently to CBD products, so it is best to consult with your healthcare provider about wanting to use CBD products and which dosage may be best fit for you.
