CBD Powders: Everything You Need to Know

CBD Powders: Everything You Need to Know - NanoCraft

CBD POWDERS

CBD powders offer an abundant source of phytonutrients, antioxidants, and cannabidiol. CBD supplements may provide benefits on a cellular level, with the potential to assist with energy, recovery, and well-being. CBD hemp powders are farmed and harvested from 100% organically farmed hemp, with no THC present to produce mind-altering effects.

WHAT IS CBD POWDER?

CBD powder is a pure isolated form of cannabidiol that comes from a concentrated hemp plant extract. To achieve cannabidiol (CBD) in its purest form, scientists must remove all other cannabinoids and plant impurities (oils, waxes, etc.) through extensive harvesting and laboratory processes.

Once the CBD has been extracted from the cannabis plant, it then goes through a complete removal process, stripping any and all phytocannabinoids away from the CBD, leaving it in its purest form - CBD powder.

DOES CBD POWDER GET YOU HIGH?

CBD powder does not get you high. Let me explain.

Since CBD is the non-psychoactive compound of the cannabis plant, it won’t get you “high” or make you feel “euphoric”. Thus, if CBD powder has endured cannabis extraction and any and all phytocannabinoid removal processes to completely isolate the purest form of your CBD, you should be in the clear!

Keep in mind, CBD powders are not FDA approved (yet), so ask for certificates of analysis. These certificates will provide you with detailed information about what exactly is in the CBD hemp powders, what ingredients and concentrates and included, as well as if there are any levels of THC present.

CBD powder may feel like a sense of relaxation or calmness, however, this may differ user by user. Since CBD is not mind-altering, you may not feel much of a change at all. Users have reported over time that they feel a sense of relaxation after taking CBD powders. Nonetheless, CBD supplements may affect each of us differently.

HOW DO YOU USE CBD POWDER?

Using CBD powder is as easy as applying a CBD powder scoop into your water and mixing - simple. The great thing about CBD hemp powders is their incognito, easy-to-use versatility.

Whether you’re wanting to add CBD powder to your pre-workout drink or you’re just looking for a calming additive for your glass of water throughout your workday or you’re wanting to add it to your morning shake, it’s quick, easy, and may be beneficial to your body, mind, and well-being.

WHEN SHOULD I USE CBD POWDER SUPPLEMENTS?

You can use CBD powders anytime! Seriously. Tailor your CBD hemp powder to meet your goals! Our athletes and customers have reported using CBD powders in their post-workout shakes or simply just mixed into a glass of water.

If you aren’t quite sure how to incorporate your CBD supplements into your routine, H2O + CBD powders are as simple and powerful as it gets!

ARE CBD POWDERS LEGAL?

CBD powders are legal IF it does not contain more than 0.3% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). If the CBD is taken from a hemp plant, containing 0.0% - 0.3% THC, it is considered legal, as of the 2018 Farm Bill.

However, marijuana is still considered illegal, federally. In certain states, such as California, Washing, and Oregon, they have legalized marijuana for medical and recreational use.

We highly recommend researching the marijuana and hemp legalizations for your specific state, as the laws and regulations differ greatly state to state.

IS CBD POWDER SAFE?

CBD powders can be considered safe - depending on the company, product ingredients, and processing procedures. Since CBD is not yet regulated by the FDA, the “safeness” of CBD be one you should proceed with caution. For instance, if you purchase CBD products with levels of THC present, you may feel mind-altering effects, thus, it may not be “as safe” for you.

No need to worry with Nanocraft’s CBD Products though, we are 100% THC free across the board. We also provide Certificates of Analysis for your viewing, showing all the details behind our product ingredients, levels of concentrates of those ingredients, as well as percentages of CBD present. A recent article in the Journal of the American Medical Association Psychiatry described cannabidiol (CBD) as being generally safe, non-toxic, and non-addictive

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CBD POWDERS?

The benefits of CBD powders are growing day by day. Pure CBD powder may be able to assist with a wide array of user concerns, including:

  • Pain
  • Inflammation
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Well-being
  • Mood
  • Sleep disorders
  • Epilepsy
  • Seizures
  • Acne

As research continues on, the benefits of cannabidiol are unfolding one article at a time.

WILL CBD POWDER SUPPLEMENTS SHOW UP ON A DRUG TEST?

It is entirely possible that CBD powder may show up on a drug test. Let me explain.

Most drug tests are examining your system for levels of marijuana (THC), not necessarily CBD. If the CBD powder is 100% hemp derived, having less than 0.3% THC, it’s very possible that it won’t show on a drug test.

Nonetheless, drug tests may assess for a wide array of substances, especially with CBD rising in popularity, it may be the next thing being tested on your drug screening.

It may be better to play ‘safe than sorry’ here, as the research backing CBD showing up on a drug test is still very limited.

HOW MUCH CBD POWDER SHOULD I TAKE?

We highly recommend starting ‘low and slow’. Each of our CBD powders have a recommended dosage on the label for you, but it’s entirely up to you! Typically, athletes and users use 1 scoop of CBD powder (25 mg of broad-spectrum CBD), in their shake or water.

It’s key to start at your own pace and dosage to see how it affects you - you can always increase or decrease your dosage from there.

We highly encourage you talking with your primary healthcare provider prior to starting any CBD powder regime, to ensure that it is a viable and safe option for your personalized health and well-being.

HOW LONG DOES CBD POWDER STAY IN YOUR SYSTEM?

CBD powder may stay in your system for 2 - 5 days.

A groundbreaking 1991 study examined high doses of CBD and it’s concentration in the bloodstream. After 6 weeks of taking 700 mg of CBD per day (which is A LOT), researchers concluded that the endocannabinoid levels in the participants’ bloodstream remained “virtually undetectable”.

However, a more recent study done in 2016 found that yes, participants did test positive for having THC and CBD metabolites in their systems. The interesting thing here is that the CBD was no longer detectable in their urine after 24 hours

DOES CBD POWDER HAVE THC IN IT?

Our CBD powder contains 0.0% THC. Our Certificates of Analysis (CoA) will show that. This is why it’s so important to have CoA available for customers to see, so they know exactly what’s in their CBD powders.

However, be careful when browsing CBD powders online. Since CBD is not regulated by the FDA yet, almost anyone can sell CBD products with or without disclosing what is in their products. Because there is no regulation or laws pertaining to the quality of CBD, companies may have THC present in their products.

Always ask for certificates of analysis and if the company does third-party testing.

WILL CBD POWDER MAKE ME SLEEPY?

CBD powder may affect everyone differently. Though we all have endocannabinoid systems that connect cannabis receptors to our brain, each of our physiological bodies differ.

Some athlete users have reported feeling more calm and relaxed after taking CBD powders post-workout. Others customers and athletes have reported feeling energized, mood-boosted, and ready to take on the day.

A large case series performed in 2019 investigated the effects of CBD on sleep and anxiety. Researchers found that sleep scores improved within the first month in 67% of the participants, after taking CBD daily.

So it is possible that CBD powders may make me feel sleepy, but this does depend on your personalized physiological, biological, and psychological factors.
